Vintage Barratt’s of Staffordshire demitasse duo dating to the 1940s–1950s.
The underside bears the “B” mark, indicating production under the British wartime concentration scheme, a fascinating detail from the Second World War period, when Staffordshire potteries were restricted to approved forms and controlled manufacturing in order to conserve materials and labour for the war effort.
In lovely vintage condition with light age-related wear.
