Made in England by J & G Meakin and likely dating to the 1950s, it carries the gentle warmth of another era. Its colouring falls somewhere between pale cream and soft butter-yellow, deeper and richer than it first appears in photographs.
The floral pattern has softened over time, its details a little faded. Fine crazing runs across the surface, adding a subtle texture that speaks to its years, evidence of a life lived.
